Listen To The Voice of Reason

Led to the slaughter

Joseph Goebbels, renowned German propagandist said the following: “There is no need to argue with the masses, slogans are much more effective. Slogans are like strong drinks to people. The crowd does not react like men but like women, who rely on their feelings, rather on their intelligence, if any. Propaganda is a great, difficult and noble art; therefore, it calls for a genius.”
John Locke in his writings concerning abuse of words coined the following; Since wit and fancy finds easier entertainment in the world, than dry truth, and real knowledge, figurative speeches, an allusion in language will hardly be admitted as an imperfection or abuse of it. I confess in discourses, where we seek rather pleasure and delight than information and improvement such ornaments as are borrowed from them, can scarce pass for faults. If we speak of things as they are we must allow, that all the artificial and figurative application of words eloquence hath invented, are for nothing but to insinuate wrong ideas, move the passions and thereby mislead the judgment and so indeed are perfect cheat…tis in vain to find fault with those arts of deceiving, wherein men find pleasure in being deceived.
Many Americans continue to be confounded and misled by talking heads on CTR (Conservative Talk Radio) and FNN (Fox News Network.) Each passing day brings more ridiculous and asinine rethrotic from these outlets. One thing is obvious, talking heads on these supposedly entertainment/news outlets have done their homework and are well versed in the art of propaganda and allusion of language. They continue to confound and at the same time amazed their listening audience with supposedly amazing insight into any subject matter thrown their way. Listeners are inundated with a constant barrage of misinformation, usually along party lines. At what point does one step back and really listen and scrutinize what is coming out of the mouths of talking heads on CTR and FNN? Have entirely too many Americans decided to goosestep behind these folks. Have they relinquished their right and obligation to think for themselves?
Do people realize what they say and suggest when they call CTR stations and proudly admit to listening to the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Cunningham, Levin, Boortz and the likes every day. Some admit to listening when they are supposed to be working. Others admit to recording some of these shows when they are away from home. What a waste of valuable time. Question is, how much misinformation can one safely ingest on a daily basis.
The talking heads on these outlets resemble dope dealers in some ways. Both are pushing products that are dangerous in their own way. Both have a negative impact on the mind. Both take from many and give to few. I.e. dope users and CTR/ FNN listeners. Some dope dealers get rich-so does some talking heads. People ingesting a steady dose of either are headed to an eventual downfall. People are hooked on talk radio and Fox News the same way people are hooked on dope. It starts slowly and progresses to the point where a daily dose is required. At some point, more than one dosage is required. This is why some stations carry talk radio 24 hours per day. People must have their fix.
People, it is time to tune your radios to stations other than those filling the airways with useless rhetoric. It is time to utilize the remote and find a station other than Fox-for that matter, turn from any station that is not giving American what they need. Americans have had enough entertainment, thinly disguised as news, slanted to aggrandize political parties agendas too long. Find the true meaning of some of the buzzwords used by talking heads. Look into the history of and true meaning of liberal, individualism, socialism and other words freely tossed about by CTR and FNN folks. There is absolutely nothing wrong with thinking for yourself.
